Round one action starts with Shane Mosley mostly throwing jabs and focuses on the body of Miguel Cotto in the beginning. Then Sugar Mosley does a lot of circling and bouncing, and then Miguel Cotto gives a guard high. Jabs then come from Miguel Cotto but he doesnt seem to land anything with the right hand. The his Right hand actually does a bit of damage with a hook. Miguel then lands a clean uppercut.

Both men are trying to feel each other out for weakness or opportunities. But then Shane Mosley lands a heavy right straight into the head of Miguel Cotto, and he comes back with a little rage at which point Mosley puts him back into the ropes.

Third round, Not much happens, just a Short uppercut on the inside from Mosley. Mosley tends to miss Miguel Cotto with his left.

Fourth round, Some more action now. Short uppercut attack from Sugar Shane Mosley. This is followed by some solid lefts from Cotto.Then a combination from Miguel Cotto with a left right left which does some damage.

Fifth round even more. Sugar Shane is starting to look a bit tired and Miguel Cotto takes advantage. He throws a hook and lands it clean as Mosley responds with a flurry. And I don’t mean the kind you get at McDonalds.

Sixth round comes with some Stiff jabs from Miguel Cotto as well as a left hook. A short right from Cotto and hes looking good. Sugar Shane is loosing his sugar rush now.

Seventh round comes with Overhand right from Mosley which brings Miguel Cotto on edge a little. But Cotto is now controling center ring as Mosley circles him. A right from nowhere from Mosley lands solid, but Cotto comes right back with a right of his own.

Eighth round, Miguel Cotto gets in a solid left hand. Mosley lands a right and Cotto comes back with a hook. Cotto lands a hook, but a bit short from his right hand, but then he comes back with a clean overhand right. Mosley looks like hes got a little pep in his step now.

Tenth round comes with Mosley on fire looking as if he has control of this fight and then A hook from Cotto, and another, and now it looks like the momentum is swinging back the other way.

Eleventh round comes with lefts to the body from Mosley. Miguel Cotto comes right back with lefts of his own and heavy punches to the body in close. The 2 huge lefts from Cotto look as if they are demolishing.

Mosley seems to have slipped on water in the corner and falls down. It might as well have been a banana peel. You can really tell Mosley has had it now and he is tired. With a final clean hit from Mosley its over. A unanimous decision names Miguel Cotto the winner!!!

So logically many wanted Jose Armando Santa Cruz to win this title. However from that point on he didn’t show the people that he was the dominate and faded out a bit into the fight.

Joel Casamayor, hadn’t fought in a long time until this fight. The last time was when he put the beating on Diego Corrales and took th crown from him.Imagine, this was about 13 months ago. You might be thinking that Joel Casamayor was fresh right. Well he may have been, but he hadn’t seen any action for over a year so its pretty impressive that Joel Casmayor would take this fight over Santa cruz the way he did.

People always seem to get upset like in this fight between Joel Casamayor and Jose Armando Santa Cruz, because it is such a close match. Everyone has their opinion about who the real winner was. Either way its just another match that people can say what they want and believe as they wish cause everyone knows in reality their was no real winner. It was a tie with Joel Casamayor and Santa Cruz.
