The Pitcher plays a huge role in the game of baseball, and this article will focus on better pitching techniques. Whether it be someone who is just getting started or someone with experience, learning better pitching techniques is important. Getting the ball in the right spot is the key. Accuracy will help to give a pitcher his better game.

When getting started as a pitcher and learning better pitching techniques it is important to stay grounded. One of the best kept secrets to being a deadly and effective pitcher is making sure that you are standing correctly. For those just starting out, you will always want to have one leg in front of the other which will help to give the best balance. Keep in mind now that the leg that is in the front is going to be the opposite side in which you will be using to throw the baseball. The reason for this pitching technique is that it will give you more power when you are ready to launch the ball. A necessity is having the right stance, which is tantamount on you finding the right balance for your feet, from this point you can move forward. All of this involves leaning at just the right angle and knowing how to keep the strength in your legs to get the most power from a throw. This is just another better pitching techniques.

Here are now some more better pitching techniques. Now that you have gotten down the stance properly, you can start to test out all different manners of throwing and types of pitches that you are able to. Compiled together this will determine the actions of the batter and what you want him to do. Since your intentions are to strike out a batter without giving them a shot to run any bases, then you will want to focus on putting the ball either in a lower spot or higher spot and at various speeds to counteract. One of the better pitching techniques is to make sure you have the right grips for whatever kind of ball that you will be throwing to your opponent.

Putting things then in a nutshell in relation to better pitching techniques is the fact that the way you hold the ball before pitching as well as the stance that you have will make a huge difference in the effectiveness of getting strike outs and being able to hold your own ground. keep in mind that the way you look at your options in pitching allows you to see more possibilities of the way a ball can go so this will help you determine what types of pitches are better for different batters. These better pitching techniques should help you be on your way to improving your game.

Big trade on Monday with Jon Garland going to the Los Angeles Angels on for shortstop Orlando Cabrera. Jon Garland will be heading to LA. Jon Garland is 28 years old and has had some success with the the White Sox, but now it looks like Orlando Orlando Cabrera will be a part of that ball club now.

If your wondering about Jon Garlands stats for the 2005 to 2006 season here they are. Hes won 18 games in 2005 and 2006, and was 10 for 13 with a 4.23 ERA in 32 starts last season. Not bad for the young pitcher. You may recall that Jon Garland was picked up by the White Sox from the Cubs back in July 29 of 1998 for another pitcher they wanted Matt Karchner.

So Jon Galand has been with the White Sox now for some time. They have up and decided that a move for Orlando Cabrera may just be strategically better for their ball club.

If you want to know how Orlando Cabrera matches up against Jon garland then you just take a look at his stats. Orlando Cabrera who is 33 years of age batted .301 with 35 doubles he had eight home runs and had 86 RBIs and a career-high 101 runs with the Angels last year. He had a career-high 192 hits.

Thats pretty decent stats. This looks like it may be a winner for The Sox to trade Jon Garland for Orlando Cabrera. If Jon garland turns out to be a good mix with the Angels bullpen then they should get some pretty good action from him there. We will just have to see how things turn out for the Angels and for the Sox in the next season of the majors.

From the looks of it Yorvit Torrealba will be the new Mets catcher if the deal between Yorvit Torrealba and the Mets go through. He would be replacing a cather already for the Mets who is Paul Lo Duca who would have to find a job somewhere else. The backup catcher would still remain the same however as Castro passed his physical Thursday he agreed to get paid 4.6 million dollars which is not to shabby for a couple years.

So if your a Mets fan your probably wanting to know what Yorvit Torrealba bats and what his stats are ok well here is a basic rundown. Yorvit Torrealba is 29 years old and he was able to bat a .255 with eight home runs as well as racking up a reasonable 47 RBIs in the 113 games that Yorvit Torrealba has played for the Rockies this baseball season.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal for the New York Mets. And if they can pick him up it should add a nice touch to what they have alreay. Especially in assisting the Pitchers to get a better ERA. The confirmation is not a done deal between the Mets and Yorvit Torrealba yet though. We will have to wait for that.

Where does this leave the previous backup catcher for the Mets? Castro has filed for free agency and you don’t blame the guy. look at his personal stats with the Mets. and thats because he had an injury that caused him to have a short season. He hit .285 and had a total of 11 home runs as well as 31 RBIs for the 144 at-bats on the season.

Yorvit Torrealba looks like hes getting to be a more productive player and is improving, so this may vry well be a great investment for the Mets if they stick with him and try him out for a few seasons. if he works well with the pitchers then yorvit Torrealba may be a new permanent for the Mets team.

Lets give a little word on Barry Bonds before and after. The man that cranked the ball out of the park is being indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice today and could as some say even face prison time. Wow thats kind of heavy to say that becasue of this Barry Bonds before and after mess that it would get this far.

Over a total of four years of investigation it has been found that Barry Bonds was using steroids, but whats worse is the fact that he will be charged with with four counts of perjury. What happened to the Barry Bonds before and after is the tune of this story. Because before everyone looked up to him. Kids that that Barry Bonds was the man.

Now the fact of the matter is that the and after part is pointing to Barry Bonds as being a sly culprit of manipulation against the system of Baseball and against the fans that rooted for him. Will anyone ever trust Barry Bonds again? Will he ever play baseball again. Who knows, but the commisioner of baseball himself.

Its say when you think about Barry Bonds before and after cause he made no mention of steroids. It was the month of August when the barry Bonds passed up Hank Aaron to become forever baseball’s career home run leader. when asked about the use of steroids, he outrightly rejected ever to think such a thing that this huge great in baseball would do such a thing. Well guess what? He did do it.

What does this leave left for the way people love and feel about baseball? What about all those kids that loved Barry Bonds as their favorite player. The Barry Bonds before and after is such a striking comparison. Will he go to prison? Probably not, because he is a celebrity, and a crooked one at that! Who knows whats going to happen to the future of Barry Bonds here on out. Should anyone really care, as long as He doesnt play baseball again.

Alex Rodriguez spoke with the owners of the Yankees and officials on Wednesday, wanting to make the statement that he wants to stay a Yankee. Alex Rodriguez will remain a Yankee most likely but we don’t have full details and Alex rodriguez hasn’t put anything in stone about staying on the Yankees team. However we can all agree that it would be a good move for the Yankees to keep A-ROD.

It looks like Alex Rodriguez will most likely win his third AL MVP award next week. Alex Rodriguez had something to say about the Yankees and more when he said “It became clear to me that I needed to make an attempt to engage the Yankees regarding my future with the organization.”

Alex Rodriguez realizes the Yankees is where he wants to be. This is important for a professional baseball player especially when he has been playing for a decent amount of time. Will he make the decision to hang around? How will the fans feel about Alex Rodriguez remaining in a Yankees uniform? I am sure everyone will want to see more of him for a while.

So what is i that make Alex Rodriguez want to stay with the Yankees? Here is what Alex Rodriguez had to say. “We know there are other opportunities for us, but Cynthia and I have a foundation with the club that has brought us comfort, stability and happiness.”

Im sure you may be wondering if Alex Rodriguez were to join another team what baseball teams was he looking at besides the Yankees? One other team that might have been an option for Alex Rodriguez may have been Los Angeles Dodgers, but thats completely opposite of where Alex Rodriguez wants to be. Whatever Alex Rodriguez decision to stay with the Yankees we know that he will make the best decision for his family.

Craig Monroe was announced that he would be going to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday for a player to be named. Which means we don’t know yet who that is. This looks to be just more movement around the Cubs roster as they try to get their players in order. Seems like the Cubs just picked up Craig Monroe not too long ago. Thats right they did have Craig Monroe for just a short while.

When the Cubs first picked up Craig Monroe on Aug. 23 they had traded Clay Rapada to get another right handed batter to add to the right handed batter list so to speak. Now at the time he was hitting a .204 with a home run and four RBIs in 23 games in Chicago.

So between His transition to the Cubs Craig Monroe was at a batting average of about .219 with 12 homers and 59 RBIs in 122 games in his 2007 MLB career which is pretty decent for a guy of this caliber as Craig Monroe is. Would you want to get rid of Craig Monroe or would you keep a hold of him and let him get his roots planted with the team? Thats not what the Cubs want to do with Craig Monroe.

The plan then of the Cubs is to let Craig Monroe be a free agent which will allow him to be dealt to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for a low level prospect. You may be wondering why the Cubs want to do this when they have a pretty reliable batter that can do an average job. Well Craig Monroe may want to leave the Cubs. This gives the Cubs an opportunity to take a little risk instead of holding on to a reliable player like Craig Monroe.

Will this be a good payoff for the Chicago Cubs to dump off Craig Monroe and pick up someone they don’t know yet. You be the judge of that. But then again its no our money now is it.

C.C. Sabathia won the Cy Young award on Tuesday for the American League. This is the first time a Clevland pitcher has won the Cy Young Award in over 35 years, so this is big stuff for a guy like C.C. Sabathia let alone all the Clevland indians fans Who have wanted this more than anything for C.C. Sabathia.

C.C. Sabathia received about 19 out of 28 votes for the Cy Young Award. The baseball writers association of America gave him the award with 119 points which pushed him over the top to receive the Cy Young Award.

So the question is, who else had a decent shot at getting the Cy Young Award? There were other contenders besides C.C. Sabathia and here are the few that followed behind. The boston RedSox Josh Beckett for one who received 86 points with eight first place votes for the Cy Young Award.

There was a third runner up which didnt receive the Cy Young award but came close to C.C. Sabathia as well and his name is John Lackey of the Los Angeles Angels as you all know.

This offer for the Cy Young Award is a much deserved thing for C.C. Sabathia as he made some huge numbers in the last few seasons. Keep in mind that C.C. Sabathia has become the only big league game pitcher that has been able to win 20 games since the 2005 season, which is pretty impressive in itself.

Even though Lackey was he big leader with ERA at 3.01 and C.C. Sabathia came in at 3.27 ERA in 200 2-3 inning he is still given this Cy Young Award for his overall accomplishments. Not just one number on paper that people can see. I think people can come to appreciate that the Cy Young Award is special and you have to have done some incredible things like C.C. Sabathia did to get it.

Jacque Jones who previously played as the center fielder in Chicago in the second half this season. As Jacque Jones joins the Tigers he is expected to make some great things happen and help them cover the outfield position.

The Tigers were not able to get the make the playoffs in 2006, but now with the edition of Jacque Jones, the Tigers have high hopes of making some things happen in the world of baseball, and if Jacque Jones is able to stay healthy in the coming season He should be a serious help to the Tigers making something happen.

Jacque Jones has only played with his previous team the Cubs for one season but managed to rack up some numbers. Jacque Jones hit .285 with five homeruns, as well as accumulating 33 doubles and 66 RBIs over a period of 135 games this past season with the Cubs. This was Jacque Jones 9th season playing in the major leagues, so hes obviously not a new comer to it all.

Jacque Jones had a hard time when he first moved to Chicago and got a lot of boos from fans at Wrigley, but if He can bring some good game from the get go the Tigers fans should be pretty satisfied.

Dustin Pedroia has been named your 2007 American League Rookie of the Year. Im sure he is pretty stoked about the whole thing. their were other candidates for rookie of the year, but Dustin Pedroia was the one they chose. Who would have thought that it was going to be a Red Sox player? I think everyone has.

Do you remember who else was able to grab this rookie of the year that played for the Boston red Sox besides just Dustin Pedroia? Consider that the past rookie of the year award has gone to people like Nomar Garciaparra which was in 1997, Fred Lynn back in 1975 almost 2 decades past, and Carlton Fisk back in 1972.

This is amazing in the face of having a broken hand which he played with the last few months, so i would say this is a much deserved award for rookie of the year. Dustin pedroia will most likly come back next season with a little experience under his belt and bring back the energy he has been giving this season as the rookie of the year.

On the other hand the national league rookie of the year was The Brewers’ third baseman Ryan Braun who won the 2007 Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year Award on Monday. This comes from the Baseball Writers Association of America who felt like he was very deserving of this.

Its been a long wait since the last player from the Brewers was named since shortstop Pat Listach had won the American League honor in 1992. So this is a well deserved award as well for Ryan Braum.

We congratulate both players on winning rookie of the year and we hope to see some more serious action from both Dustin Pedroia and Ryan Braum.

It has been much speculation about whether or not they were going to do it, and it looks like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays have. Are you wondering what the new look will be like?

The new Tampa Bay Devil Rays logo has the back drop of a baseball Diamond with a fresh color scheme to overlap it. The new team colors which are navy blue and light blue as well as a new icon that is a bright yellow sunburst Reflects well on the image of the sunshine state of Florida.

The information of the new Tampa bay Devil rays jersey’s came on Thursday at a launch party in the downtown region of St. Petersburg with a large crowd watching. Everyone is pretty happy about the change in hopes of ushering a fresh start to the ball club.

Stuart Sternberg, the Tampa Bay Devil rays owner had something to say about it. He says, “We are now the ‘Rays’ — a beacon that radiates throughout Tampa Bay and across the entire state of Florida. Tampa Bay and the Sunshine State are beautiful places. We want the Rays to reflect the best our region has to offer.”

I am sure you will be wanting to get a fresh fitted cap right? If so you will be happy to know that the team’s new cap has a base color of navy blue and white “TB” casted as the lettering along with a light blue shadow which sets things off nicely. The look is truly classic and one that reflects a crisp and clean look.

So now you have it. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays no longer have the devil in it. Just the Rays and you will find that the new website reflects that. Check it out at raysbaseball.com. You can check out the fresh new logo and look there if you need a peek.
