Jeff Dailey, a University grad of East Stroudsburg of the class of 2004, was recently killed in a fire blaze of some apartments nearby the College. It is believed that one other woman was also killed in the blaze.

It is truly a sad day for those who remember Jeff Dailey as not only a good guy but The leading all time scorer of the Notre Dame highschool basketball team in Bethlehem Township.

Robert Dillman says of Jeff Dailey, “I know that the entire campus community feels the impact of this tragedy, which touches every one of us and the surrounding community as well.”

Jeff Dailey had went to Cabrini College before then transferring to East Stroudsburg about a year ago. After Jeff Dailey’s senior year at Notre Dame high school he recieved honors as the PIAA Class 2A all-state team. Jeff Dailey had 1,742 points at Notre Dame which is the most in the history of the school that has been ever scored.

It appears that a blanket on a bed in the upstairs of the apartment had caught on file and the children that were up there were unable to put it out for some reason. It makes us wonder how old these kids were and why people weren’t warned.

The Monroe county District attorney is seeking to find out what caused the blaze as well as the local fire marshall.

Once again another college student death that had a lot of talent. Our hearts go out to the family of Jeff Dailey. It seems all to often news, whether it be sports related or not remindsus of how human we really are.
