The motor city bowl is a pretty great bowl game to go to. Its been held since 1997. The motor city bowl was first played in the Pontiac Silverdome. The motor city bowl game is a pretty large event there and has been attended a while. The first 5 years of the motor city bowl was only held there until it was changed. Then the game was moved and a lot of people were upset about that but it was for the better, especially for the seating capacity issue.
Once the motor city bowl was moved to the Ford Field in Detroit Michigan this opened up a lot more seating for people attending. The seating arrangement for the motor city bowl in total increased to 65,000 seats so more fans could attend on Neutral grounds.
The motor city bowl features 2 teams. one from the Mid American conference and a team from the Big ten conference. If the Big Ten conference doesn’t produce a team that is eligible to play in the motor city bowl, then there will be a team selected from the Big East.
keep in mind that to be eligible to make it to the motor city bowl a team must have at least 7 wins for the season of college football. If this doesn’t happen and a team from the Big East conference cant produce a team which is very rare for the motor city bowl, then another team that has proved themselves over the past course of the season.
If you wondered why this bowl game is called motor city bowl its because it is primarily backed by some large automakers like Ford, General motors, and Chrysler. So if you don’t have tickets to the motor city bowl game i suggest you get your tickets in advance so they don’t sell out.
