The Bruins will begin play tonight in the first round of the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic. This is a real treat for those that can attend. As many of these games will be played in Maui Hawaii. Its a beautiful place for the players to play and a great time to relax away from home.

The coach of the Bruins coach Howland said that the junior point guard Darren Collison, who didn’t participate in the practice on Sunday because of a sprained knee he sustained nine days ago in an exhibition game, was not going to play either in the cbe classic Monday night game or in the Tuesday night cbe classic game.

We hope he recovers so that he can be back in action, as his team will need him to survive this season. Its not easy when you are out players to get where you need with any team and injury has been plaguing the Bruins early on.

Looks like the sophomore Russell Westbrook will get a shot to be able to start as the point guard. Howland had coments on that as well when he said “For him it’s just more and more experience”. Thats huge for this sophmore which will need to prove himself if he wants to play in further games this season.

Coach Howland also says that the junior Michael Roll is recovering nicely and should be back soon, but won’t play in the cbe classic either. He has been out for a while from a foot injury in a previous game. The coach is hoping that his recovery will allow him to be back in time to play in the game against Texas which he as well will be much needed for.
