The guy they call the Big E is retiring. Thats right Eric Lindros will be announcing his retirement. The 33-year-old Eric Lindros who was a free agent this season but sat out who has not played this season, is expected to announce his retirement in his hometown of London on Thursday.

Eric Lindros is a real trooper during his 13th season of tough hockey. He has had approximately 8 serious concussions in this period which has taken a toll on his current career.

Some of the amazing things that Eric Lindros has done in his career are listed below. I think you would agree that this guy made an impact on people. literally.

Eric Lindros assisted the Oshawa Generals in winning the Memorial Cup He also helped Canada to win 2 major world junior championships. Eric Lindros had some serious stats in 1990 and 1991 when he managed to score over 70 goals and had a crazy 149 points in the 57 OHL games. Besides that he earned national honors as the (MJPY) “major junior player of the year”.

I think you will agree with me that the Eric Lindros is one of the most amazing players to have ever played the game of hockey. Hes pissed a lot of people off along the way but I am sure they still have respect for what he has contributed for the game.

He will be remembered by many as a winner and a darn tough man. Evidence of that is the fact that he was the only non NHL player To win the 91 cup, while breaking some collar bones of Ulf Samuelsson and Martin Rucinsky. Eric Lindros also ended up skating for the Canadian silver-medal team at the 92 Olympics. So heres a tribute to the big E, still hardcore at heart, Eric Lindros.
