Snowboarding is a blast and is awesome when you are prepared, but in order for you to have a great time it is important for you to know how to avoid snowboarding injuries and dangers. What fun is it to have a broken leg or a busted ankle coming back home? Not cool at all, so here are some great tips to get you going in the right direction on your own.

One thing thats important is to be in shape. If you are not exercising your body ofr something like snowboarding then it can be a little harsh once you actually get out there. So work on building up your legs as this will decrease the chance for a snowboarding injury.

Clothing is important as it will allow you to have free flow movment or feel confined. Make sure you are wearing something comfortable that allows you to move freely, as this will be a key factor in the ability you have to make your ride exhilerating.

Right before you get ready to hit up the slopes, make sure that you have warmed your body up by stretching. This too will help you to decrease any possible snowboarding injury. Make sure to get plenty of water and let your boddy cool down as well when needed.

Wrist guards are can be an extremely important thing to purchase before getting out and snowboarding, because the most common type of injury is wrist injuries. Especially with beginners. Each year there are aproximately 100,000 wrist fractures reported by snowboarders. Several of these are known as Colles fractures and Scaphoid fractures which would put a real bummer on your snowboarding trip, so make sure to get wrist guards as well as a helmet to avoid a possible cuncussion.

If possible use multimode bindings, these will help to reduce a possible ACL snowboarding injury if the boots are easy to release from the bindings. It would be good to test your bindings every day before going out. To do this just get into the binding and then twist to the side to help release the toe piece under the control mechanism. You can also test the heel piece by stepping into the binding and leaning forward, which will release the heel piece. The release of both heal and toe should be simple and will help you avoid any serious snowboarding injuries.

Don’t think that these things are not needed. You will be sorry if your medical bills far outweigh the cost of some of these safety equipment pieces you could have purchased. With all this in mind here are some basics things you should know before you start snowboarding.

1. Respect other skiers and snowboarders by not doing anything to endanger others.

2. Control your speed on the slopes. This is important with different scenarios and terrains or slope.

3. Choose a route that does not endanger others when turning to the left or right of someone in front of you.

4. When overtaking another skier or snowboarder you must ensure they have plenty of room to avoid anything that could cause injury or harm in the way.

5. When entering or starting an upwards move make sure to keep an eye on the slopes up and down to not endanger your self or others.

6. avoid stopping on the piste where it is difficult for other to see you. if you should stop, make sure to get to the side of an area that will have a minimal amount of traffic. If you are climbing or descending by foot you must keep to the side of the piste.

7. Look for signs and markings. these are meant for your protection so respect them.

8. If you see an accident and you are near by you should help. This is an unwritten rule that you should keep in mind. If you should become involved in an accident or see one it is important for all involved to exchange names and addresses for further communication after any accident.

These tips just outline all the basics yo should know to have a fun and safe time snowboarding. If you follow these instructions then you this will help you know how to avoid snowboarding injuries and dangers. Get out there and have some fun!
