Are you ready for the Silverman Triathlon in henderson nevada? Well thousands of folks are gearing up for it. Its a test of endurance and willpower to use the strength our bodies have to compete against one another. Many times in the end its not really about who won but about the battle of our own bodies to not give up and press on.

The location of Henderson, where the Silverman Triathlon will take place is just a bit west of the Grand Canyon. Its an intersting loaction alright. With being an hour north of the Mohave Desert, and then just minutes from south of Las Vegas, you wouldn’t think this is prime location for such an avent, but it sure is. And they have hosted this triathlon now twice before so this has helped to build up the sponsorship, especially with so much news about the event. Some of the current sponsors for the Silverman triathlon include the city of Henderson as well as Christensen International Law. This is now the third annual event for the silverman triathlon and many are proud of it.

Ready for a rundown of this grueling event in what may be over 100 degree heat? The swimming part of the Silverman triathlon starts across the Lake Mead National recreation area. I don’t think if your in it that you will be doing backstrokes and feeding the ducks though. This is a hardcore event. Because after the swim comes the bicycle portion of the silverman triathlon. This takes a 112 mile path which gets to heights of over 9700 ft. That is just nuts!

So you think that your pretty tired from the bike ride uphill. Think again cause then you have to go on a 26.2 mile run which brings you to nothing but more uphill. Your calves are going to melt by the time your done with this thing. If you survive then your a real trooper. What do you think, do you have what it takes to survive the Silverman Triathlon?
